Death is a Dark Hole - 4/29 session recap

The party parleyed with the remaining hobgoblins and let them leave. When the party asked where the hobgoblins came from, they said that scary tentacle monsters had driven them up here.

The party descended to a deeper level of the temple and discovered the catacombs. Rows and rows of funeral niches made up the entire level, and in the corner they found a dark hole with ancient writing around it. The runes were not magical, and simply said, "This Way Lies Yama". The darkness itself was magical, but John offered to go first. He was unharmed on the way down, and the party followed.

A tunnel led to a small chamber that was halfway filled with water. Three tunnels led out of the chamber, and carrion crawlers started to emerge from one of them.
